 This
compact apartment is 400 square feet and provides every comfort
for a wonderful stay in Paris. It sleeps 4 and is located on the
5th floor (6th American) of a turn-of-the-century building in the
middle of the rue St. Dominique. There is an elevator.
The location is one of the best in Paris, 3 blocks to the Invalides
and Rodin Museum; 5 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower and beautiful
park, which surrounds it. A few blocks walk to the famous rue Cler
market plus two of the largest open markets in Paris. 4 blocks to
the river and the famous Bateau Mouche boat trips down the river,
easy access to buses and metro.
Walking into the courtyard is the first surprise. You find yourself
on the bustling rue St. Dominique and open a large old green door
onto a large, quiet courtyard with shallow pool in the middle. It
is a wonderful surprise and hard to believe you're in the middle
of Paris! The apartment looks down onto this peaceful scene. Take
the elevator to the 5th floor and you are home.
 Enter
the apartment to a small entryway with bathroom on your right. The
bathroom has recently been remodeled in pale ceramic tile, new washer/dryer,
large sink, toilet and fixed shower. An 80-gallon hot water tank
provides ample hot water.
Walk into the living room, a very sunny and cheerful room, with
wonderful views over the rooftops of Paris. It has been decorated
in beiges and warm terra cotta colors, highlighted by a beautiful
carved bookcase painted with elephants. The living room has parquet
floors, new double sofa bed. There is a TV (CNN available, etc),
stereo system and U.S. standard dvd to relax and enjoy at the end
of a long day of sightseeing and shopping. The oval marble dining
table is just outside the kitchen and seats 4. A large window opens
up to beautiful, lofty views over Parisian rooftops and sky. This
view and sunlight really make your stay in Paris a special experience.
 The
kitchen is to the right of the living room. It has just been remodeled
with white cabinets and tiles. Kitchen is fully equipped with all
appliances and dishes to cook and entertain: dishwasher, stove,
oven, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and teakettle are included.
The room is very light, as another large window opens out to the
sunny views of Parisian rooftops and blue sky, a real bonus.
The bedroom is to the left off of the living room. It is decorated
in yellows with a large toile de jouey quilted bedspread and matching
pillow shams. This quiet, sunny room which over looks the quiet
courtyard and Parisian rooftops. It has a new, queen-sized bed and
closet, to provide a sound sleep during your stay.
This is a non-smoking apartment. One week minimum rental.
