 The
Palazzo Contarini is a beautiful XIV century palace. Recently renovated
it offers twelve apartments (with a well furnished kitchen) - ranging
from simple studios to one and two bedroom apartments. All apartments
have central heating, air conditioning, direct dial telephone, satellite
TV and ISDN lines. The communal courtyard and gardens are delightful;
there are six romantic suites - with Bed & Breakfast arrangement
It has been refurbished to the highest standard with the plus of
having beautiful bathrooms and kitchen installations, with the apartments
furnished in an elegant mix of antique and modern style.
The palazzo has a discreet reception area with English speaking
staff who can provide excellent local information and offer a booking
service for restaurants etcetera. There is a porter 24 hours, a
welcome food basket can be provided on request and a laundry service
is available at extra charge. The rental charge includes daily maid
service and breakfast served in the elegant dining room of the piano
nobile overlooking a pretty canal.
The whole place is a haven for calm and beauty with an excellent
level of service - I stayed there in spring and I would recommend
it highly. Delightful surroundings, a short distance ( 10 minute
walk) from San Marco. The individual apartments are shown in more

San Servolo Suite
Sleeps: 2
Double bedroom, bathroom
A charming double room on the piano nobile furnished with antique
furniture and paintings. Private bathroom in white marble with shower
(no tub). Air conditioning, small fridge, satellite TV, lift.
Also available together with Pellestrina Suite to increase the number
of beds.
Please note that this suite does not have a kitchen.
San Giorgio Suite
first floor suite with original features, on the same landing as
La Grazia.
It has a double bed in walnut, silk divan and writing desk, Venetian
flooring, original beams, period paintings and precious tapestry,
large windows with views of the bridge and tower of the Francesca
della Vigna monastery, bathroom in white marble with Jacuzzi, air
conditioning, satellite TV, fax and lift.
LA GRAZIA
Sleeps: 2/4
Living/dining room, double/twin bedroom, single bedroom, additional
1½ bedroom in loft area, two bathrooms, kitchen
A light and spacious first floor apartment, on the same landing
as San Giorgio Suite. All windows face onto the Francesca della
Vigna canal.
It has a living/dining room, kitchen equipped with electric oven,
gas hob, fridge, one double bedroom (can be twin beds), one single
bedroom, additional single room in loft area, two bathrooms in white
marble, one with shower and one with Jacuzzi, all with hairdryer,
modern and antique furniture, air conditioning, satellite TV, fax.
   
Pellestrina
A sumptuous suite on the piano nobile accessed directly by the palazzo's
staircase and hall.
The furnishings are original: large double bed in walnut, divan
and settle together with the original ceiling, Murano glass chandelier
and antique paintings.
An elegant sitting room is situated in the loft area. It has splendid
views of the palazzo's garden. Bathroom in white marble with Jacuzzi
with shower attachment, air conditioning, satellite TV, fax and
lift.
Also available together with San Servolo Suite to increase the number
of beds.

MAZZORBO JUNIOR SUITE

Mezzanine floor apartment with two metre high beamed ceilings, small
entrance hall, one bedroom with double bed, a kitchenette (electric
hob, fridge, dishwasher), a bathroom with shower and a view of the
San Francesco della Vigna canal.

An atmospheric and light ground floor apartment built on one of
the Palazzo's canal banks, which enjoys a splendid view of the San
Francesco della Vigna canal. It is made up of a living room furnished
with antique furniture and prints and a sofa bed, dining area with
kitchen on view equipped with fridge, electric oven, hobs and dishwasher,
double bed room, bathroom with shower in stone and marble.
Its special feature is that it has a private gate right onto the
canal from the sitting room - perfect for clandestine meetings!
Air conditioning, satellite TV and telephone.

SAN GIACOMO

a fully equipped kitchenette (gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher,
fridge), and one very modern double bedroom. There is one bathroom
with Jacuzzi bath with shower attachment, elegantly furnished in

BURANO

Second floor apartment with access via shared staircase and lift,
with view over the courtyard and the San Francesco della Vigna canal.
It has a small entrance hall, living/dining room elegantly furnished
with designer and antique furniture and high, beamed ceilings.
Fully equipped kitchen (gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge),
two bedrooms with double beds, twin room in gallery, two bathrooms
(one with shower, one with Jacuzzi bath), elegantly furnished in
white marble, air conditioning, TV, terrazzo flooring and high,
beamed ceilings.
It is possible to arrange a further intercommunicating double bedroom
and bathroom with shower in Mazzorbo Junior Suite.
