    This is the Provence pictured in books. The house is golden ochre with soft green shutters, facing south.
    Surrounded by fields of wheat, wild mustard, olive groves and oak trees, this completely restored farmhouse sits atop the Puyricard plateau, in the heart of wooded hills.
    A series of small, picturesque roads meander through this paradise, leading to the beautiful gated entrance and white gravel road. Only 15 minutes from Aix en Provence.

    All of the rooms on the main floor open onto a terrace, which is shaded by a wrought-iron, vegetation -covered arbor.
    A large rectangular wrought iron and ceramic top table as well as wicker armchairs and low table allow for shaded meals, drinks and relaxation. The flooring is beautiful terra-cotta tiles and the terrace leads out to a huge garden (2.5 acres), planted with various trees, herbs and flowers.

    At the north entrance to the house there is a garage and car shelter. Entering by an antique door, Spanish flamboyant style, one passes through an originally furnished hall with grey tile flooring. Beautiful doors lead to a closet and powder room.

    Beyond the foyer are the living rooms and fully-equipped light wood-cabinet kitchen. Equipment includes induction burners, dishwasher, built-in refrigerator, microwave, electric oven, toaster, coffee maker.

    The family dining room has a fieldstone fireplace and striking furniture.
    This room opens onto the south side, as well as the east side terrace, both with large wrought iron and tile top tables and relaxed seating areas, and to a large luminous living room, with wood fireplace, oak wood flooring , comfortable sofas, interesting decorative objects and neutral shade fabrics --- all creating a very harmonious look.

    This room opens up to the south terrace through two glass doors and also extends to a striking and comfortable open beam ceiling television room, with flat screen television, stereo equipment, library, desk and cosy sofas.

    The T.V. room leads on through glass doors to a conservatory room. This room, with lovely views over the garden, is fully glassed and has old terracotta flooring and wrought iron furniture to read or relax in. A glass door leads directly out onto the garden.

    From the entrance foyer one reaches an independent bedroom (1.60m bed) with beamed ceiling, an en suite shower-room and wc, a bit away from the rest of the house. Nearby is a well-equipped laundry room: washer, dryer, sink, with a private entrance from the back of the house, next to the garage.

    From the entrance foyer a stairway with lovely wrought iron railing leads up to the second floor, where the bedrooms are located. Stylish furniture, artisan floor tiles and wall painting create a welcoming ambiance. There is an independent toilet on the landing.

    The master bedroom (1.80m) with an en suite shower-room, contains lovely furniture and lots of cupboard space.
    The room opens to the south by two windows, has its own bathroom, with two sinks, a large built-in shower and a window over beautiful east facing views.

    A second bedroom (1.60m), with a cosy look created by soft whites and beiges, an exquisite provencal quilt, pine furniture, and a greyish blue painted wardrobe made out of antique local wood opens also to the south.

    A third bedroom 2 single beds 90cm, faces north.
    On this floor one whole room has been converted into a grand bathroom which faces east. One can luxuriate in the bathtub, with the window framing a view of the renowned Provencal sky. One sink, bathtub, large shower, toilet --- all within a decor of elegance and comfort.

    There is also a Guest House with one Master bedroom 2m bed with an en suite shower-room and toilet.

    The garden is decorated with Provencal jars and elegant furniture. At the center of this garden water dances in a cool fountain near a low stone wall.
    And beyond is a 17x6 m swimming pool (cover protection) with a width and comfortable stone beach, bordered with pink laurel and lavender, and then the pool house.
    The pool house provides a living center during the day, with equipped kitchen, refrigerator, and grill.
    On the side are toilets and a shower. Poolside meals are eaten around wrought-iron tables, in the welcome shade of large trees. lots more photos available


    The village of Puyricard is just 1km away, with businesses, banks and municipal tennis courts.
    The nearby Aixois Country Club provides many possibilities for sports activities, both for adults and for children.
    On the village square each Friday morning there is a farmers’ market, right next to a beautiful Romanesque church, where concerts are given during the Music Festival.
    The Grand St. Jean, site of Opera Festival performances, is also nearby.

    Aix en Provence is 5km away.
    Marseille 35km.
