This beautifully restored stone farmhouse is luminous and cozy with spectacular western views. Nestled amidst old terraces, it is surrounded by wild cherry trees and sheltering oaks, with distant glimpses of farms, olive groves and undulating hills, changing color in the shifting light.

The house has been designed with two bathrooms, country kitchen and living room on each of two floors and provides ample space for eight people, while also offering privacy between floors. Ideal for up to four couples, the house lends itself to a group of friends or inter-generational family groups, who may wish to keep different hours. A 17th century refectory table in the upper kitchen and a large teak dining table on the expansive, wisteria-covered terrace allows everyone to eat together in all seasons.
French doors and outdoor terraces on three sides of the house make the landscape an integral part of the indoor and outdoor environment of the house, a constant reminder of the Umbrian landscapes made famous by Giotto and Piero della Francesca.

The approach to La Quercia is by way of an unpaved driveway, approx. 2 km, it is steep in parts but does not present a problem if driven slowly; It is regularly maintained and can take vehicles of all sizes; Once you have done it a few times you may wonder why you gave it a 2nd thought the first time.

Included:
All linens, towels and utilities, are included in the price. We provide a full house cleaning and linen change every 6 or 7 days. Tenants have free access to all linen and towel closets, washing machines and dryers, and are responsible for changing their own towels.
